THE MOST BEAUTIFUL TREE IN PARIS – SPRING IN THE CITY

Hello, Seven days ago we were in the beautiful city of Paris, so this week I will be sharing all my favourite things from our five beautiful days there. I thought I would dive right in and share these pictures that literally had me squealing with delight. Swathes of fluffy pink pompoms hanging from the most beautiful tree in Paris.

Standing at the centre of the Jardin des Plantes this amazing tree, is I think – a ‘Kanzan’ Japanese flowering cherry – but we named it the ‘selfie tree’ as it was abuzz with locals and tourists all taking in it’s beauty and sending pictures to loved ones and out on IG. Including me

We wandered over to the gardens after lunch and my camera shutter got quite the work out with all the beautiful flowers and Spring plants coming to life. But this post is an ode to this magnificent tree.

It was the most perfect cherry blossom tree I have ever seen, low hanging boughs that swept up it’s visitors in pink clouds of soft petals and swirls of pink buds waiting to bloom. It was a very hot day but the blossom felt deliciously cool against my face, I could have stayed there all day.

This was it’s little sister tree further down in the gardens, I managed to get this one all to myself.

Below is my final snap, and it was a complete fluke that this lovely girl in her cherry blossom outfit and bark coloured hair happened to be striding by. Stay tuned for more pretty Paris scenes, favourite places, views and shopping discoveries to come all this week.
