From lean-to to cafe/bar a before and after makeover with Atelier Ellis Paint. I wanted to share the before and afters here as the chaos deserves its day online and this is the usual state of play here, more often than not. The Instagram squares are reserved for my best days as a portfolio, but no one lives that perfectly. Below is just a snippet and some pictures, but you can read the full piece over on the beautiful Atelier Ellis page here, while visiting you’ll hopefully have time to read all the other amazing and inspiring colour stories too.
We chose to paint the new lean-to walls in beautiful Totara -green for autumn. More than a lean-to now – welcome to Pearl’s – a meeting place for the quiet resistance.
Drinks sipped in the corner seat of the lean-to, a place we now call ‘Pearl’s’ after Dean’s maternal Grandma. Maybe the tiniest private members cafe/bar in East Sussex, a place to enjoy coffee out of the rain and wind, a place to eat easy pasta dishes and drink wine, with friends or alone, a couple of tables just big enough for four, maybe six at a cosy push, a bowl of olives and a bottle of something.
A place to discuss plans, creative projects, ideas and more – full story here.
