I’m having some fun this afternoon with the new Copenhagen collection from John Lewis. I was super happy when they got in touch recently to ask me showcase some items from this new collection. After coming back from Denmark I have been missing being surrounded by Scandinavian style so much and this cheered me right up!

huge fan of Grey as you must know by now, but spicing it up with some neons and different textures is a good recipe for making a joyous living space. The pillow and throw above mix shades from dove to charcoal with an acid yellow stripe to stop it being to serious.
lamp was what we referred to as the man lamp here at home – it was the only lamp we owned that the husband liked. Today, the ‘man lamp’ no more as I gave it a quick paint job (see the before here), so it would match it’s new pretty but modern floral lampshade.

little table was a boot fair find, I topped it with marble candle sticks that add a layer of hard texture and a home made planter for one of our succulents (thanks Dean!). The faceted vase is my sneaky bit of luxe, I hope the man of the house won’t mind. We butch up the place and then something like this sneaks in and well, I am sure you know how it goes. But switch out the neon pink Geraniums for herbs or greenery and I think it would look way less feminine.

recently upholstered vintage chairs have their own little Scandi corner now, with a soft throw to protect them from mean cats who seem to want to destroy all that we own!
collection has so many different looks, so if you want to go a bit more minimalist, you’ll find pale wood lamps, soft grey furnishings in wool, felt and faux fur, or for a bit of metallic twinkle why not try some of the decorative accessories in copper and brass.
pretty happy with this side of the lounge now. It gives us a good space to chill out and read with our backs to the other side, which is home to a ton of building materials waiting for that first rainy day, that will spur on the full renovation of the living space. Now I better be getting back to building that shop of ours! x
