SOFT INDUSTRIAL CHIC WITH BRICK EFFECT WALLPAPER

SOFT INDUSTRIAL CHIC WITH BRICK EFFECT WALLPAPER

you?! I am all recovered from my weekend away in London and now planning out new home projects. Walls are coming down and I had hoped to incorporate an exposed brick wall somewhere in the kitchen and living space. I think they give a beautiful, rustic and raw feel to an interior decor scheme. Becoming increasingly popular, I keep spying them popping up in homes and design led shops everywhere.

walls here are a little too smooth to justify cracking off the plaster to see what lies beneath and these days the best exposed brick walls are found in lofts, industrial or historic buildings, all out of our price range unfortunately. This look can be achieved in your home for a fraction of the budget, and when Murals Wallpaper asked me to take a look at their brick effect wallpaper, I was pleasantly surprised!

available in so many styles, colours and textures, it provides character and rustic charm, and all in just a couple of hours. So if you don’t live in an old building, don’t worry – you can still get the look with a little hard work and some wallpaper paste!

one of the designers on the first season of The Great Interior Design Challenge using some. If I am honest, I wasn’t sure about the idea, but it did end up looking amazing. Injecting the character of old, slightly rugged and peeling bricks but of course it was way cosier for our British climate. Do you know anyone who has used brick effect wallpaper effectively? I have found some great examples, and I would now love to give it a go.
