I am so happy to be sharing these images of the beautiful Rust jewellery shop Tokyo today. Owned by the super talented husband and wife team Nao and Artemis – writer of the blog Junkaholique – if you don’t already read it, get over there. Rust specialises in wedding rings that are beautiful, unique and handmade. I have been hinting at an eternity ring from their wonderful shop for a while and will continue this campaign until it’s on my finger – are you reading husband? 🙂
It is such a lovely fresh space and all the little details are magical. I love the snippets of Liberty fabric that are made in to ring pillows and popped in to rustic plant pots for brooches and other pieces to sit on. The space is filled with original display ideas and lots of fresh botanical details such as plants, drawings and hooks made from branches.
These cheeky bear pots above brimming with foliage and the paper mâché animal heads on the walls below add a joyful bit of fun to the serene store. Wood, white, patina and precious metals all dance together in this inspiring space.
I like that the store is clearly an extension of their home and interior style, which is delicate, rustic and a celebration of things that have had a previous life.
Their wedding philosophy is about ‘spending money on the things that matter to you, that you will have forever, and making the best of what you can find for free or very little money to create a beautiful party for your friends and family’. So if you have fallen in love with their style, (the couple had the most beautiful wedding a few years ago), they love to use decorations inspired by nature and encourage you to make the most of being outdoors as much as possible.
