Hello! I am back with a splash of bathroom inspiration and a long wish-list of bathing style dreams. Have you had a peek at the before yet? We haven’t had a running shower for almost a year (don’t worry we do have a bath) and we are still on the waiting list for our builder to come and finish off – the mayhem we started. This bathroom remodel is taking forever but I have no doubt it will be worth the trauma in the end!

I have been keeping a Pinterest board for all my favourite reclaimed and rustic bathing discoveries, ideas and dreams, hop on over if you are looking for some bathroom inspiration of your own – major changes or just style ideas it’s all in there.

From the floors up to the ceiling, I am obsessed with finding as many beautiful textures and finishes to cram in there. Obsessing over reclaimed panelling for wall coverings and flagstone flooring or decorative tiles to go on the floor.

I love the idea of a few odd tiles above the sink, we are not sure if we’ll have a vintage sink or a countertop one yet. Whatever we do choose will be resting or sitting above a hand-built wooden counter with a curtain and storage underneath.

A mirror will be hung above the sink and our handmade shelf will be adjacent to the left with all our beauty products and toothbrushes etc on it.I love the bright white snippet of panelling in the collage picture at the bottom of this post – but I am not sure if I like the half way up look or the floor to ceiling ‘all in’ version, pictured below?

We are hoping that with the help of the lovely folks over at Mira, our finished shower will look a little similar in essence to Eva Kosmas-Flores bathroom above. Our toilet and shower are positioned in exactly the same way. I have my heart set on are a mix of vintage style square tiles from Mandarin Stone (below), mixed with natural stone for the floor – as the floor boards underneath are a bit beyond battered and I don’t think they can be saved.

Items above – Decorative tiles – Mandarin Stone, Floor tiles – Topps Tiles, Towel warmer and Bath (we got ours from eBay) – similar from – The Cast Iron Bath Store, we’ll be bringing zen time to our bathroom with our incense dish and sticks from our own store plus organic Fouta Towels too ;), Shower rail to go over bath – Victorian Plumbing, we have vintage style lace curtains from Anthropologie to hang (not meant for bathroom) but you can find similar here!
